When the Dapu Reservoir was built, several suspension bridges were constructed to facilitate transportation for lakeside residents. Today, only the Ximapu Suspension Bridge remains accessible to pedestrians. Measuring 2.5 meters in width and 108 meters in length, it was the widest of the original five bridges. From the bridge, visitors can enjoy a 360° view of Emei Lake’s stunning landscape. The smiling face of the Maitreya Buddha greets you up close, while the distant peaks of Lion’s Head Mountain and Five Fingers Mountain complete the breathtaking panorama. This suspension bridge has now become a renowned attraction in Emei Township.
