Many visitors are drawn by the aroma of freshly baked brick oven bread from Yeshantian Bakery. Nestled inside the church, the bakery uses locally sourced ingredients from Emei Township, such as citrus fruits and Oriental Beauty tea. Each loaf is hand-kneaded to achieve a firm texture before being baked in a specially designed brick oven, resulting in bread with a unique, woody fragrance. Current offerings from the bakery include a variety of kiln-baked toasts, such as Orange Cranberry, Red Bean Beauty, Whole Wheat Walnut Raisin, Classic Walnut Raisin, Red Yeast Rice Longan, and Plain White Toast, which often sell out shortly after coming out of the oven at noon. Customers can enjoy their bread inside the church, pairing it with a simple beverage and sweet-tart orange marmalade while gazing out at the garden, surrounded by greenery and the charming seed-shaped treehouse. Each bite reveals the exceptional quality and flavor of the bread. Yeshantian Bakery also offers a bread-making DIY experience for groups of 10 or more, with prior reservation required.
