Set amid the fields, the Guangdong Kaizhuang Bogong Temple dates back to 1875, the first year of the Qing Guangxu reign, making it one of the earliest Earth God temples established in Fuyuan Village. According to local history, when the Zhong family settlers first arrived, they discovered a large boulder at the foot of the mountain that resembled the Earth God. They made it their spiritual center, praying for safety and success as they cultivated new land. The temple, which stood witness to the hardships and perseverance of the early pioneers, was rebuilt in 2003. Located near Xingquan Canal Park and Butterfly Valley, it remains an active place of worship where residents still come daily to offer incense.
