Located in Ruisui Township, Hualien, the Fuyuan community, once known as Bazai Village, is a settlement with rich Hakka culture in the East Rift Valley. The village has several historical sites: Zhaozhong Temple, which reflects Qing-era military history, Hualien's oldest Chenghuang Temple, and remnants of a Japanese-era Shinto shrine.
