Ku Hsiu-Fei, Minister of the Hakka Affairs Council, visited the Meinong Cultural and Creative Center in Kaohsiung on February 7 to launch the 2026 Meinong Autumn-Winter LOHAS Carnival and Flower Sea Art Event. Minister Gu expressed gratitude for the long-standing partnership with the Kaohsiung City Government and Meinong District Office, stressing that the central government will keep working hand-in-hand with local authorities to build an even better environment for Hakka communities.
Minister Gu also thanked the Meinong District Office for inviting her back to her hometown for the festivities. She warmly welcomed everyone to visit Meinong over the Lunar New Year holiday for a flower-filled spring outing, and shared her Year of the Horse wishes for happiness and smooth sailing ahead.
The 2026 Meinong Autumn-Winter LOHAS Carnival and Flower Sea Art Event showcases the beauty of the flower season, art installations across three themed zones, a symphony orchestra performance, and a cultural creative market. The event also features the Meinong Travel Passport Stamp Challenge and a consumption voucher program, linking visitors to local Hakka specialties, culinary traditions, and commercial districts.
