Gu Show-faye, Minister of the Hakka Affairs Council (HAC), visited Pingtung’s De Hotel on November 18 to attend the Sustainable Pingtung Gift Set press conference. Minister Gu said that the products on display not only represent industry outcomes, but also embody the heartfelt wishes and strength that young people want the world to see. She thanked the Pingtung County Government team and all the young partners for their long-term dedication to the local community, supporting their hometown and promoting local industrial development through deeds, so that more people can realize the beauty of Pingtung.
Minister Gu mentioned that from farming, processing, and packaging to marketing, young people do most of the work—words wouldn’t suffice to describe their painstaking effort. Therefore, their goods and writings are more than just offerings; they encapsulate the endeavor, perseverance, and tenacity they have invested over a long period of time, as well as many untold stories and family tensions that lead to mutual understanding.
Minister Gu emphasized that she felt great gratitude towards Pingtung County Magistrate Chou Chun-mi; Lee Yu-chen, Director General of the Labor and Youth Development Department, Pingtung County Government; and relevant teams for their support of local youth.
