Liudui Hakka Cultural Park Welcomes Lunar New Year with Ten Spectacular Highlights

Date:2025-01-17

From the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park will host a series of vibrant Spring Festival activities. Featuring ten exciting highlights, visitors can enjoy captivating cultural performances, limited-edition lucky bags, Hakka handicraft workshop, family-friendly Hakka language challenges, the Bogong (Earth God) Monopoly stamp collection, and charity sales. Guests can also savor freshly steamed Hakka rice cakes, receive complimentary snake seal stamps for good fortune, marvel at the traditional tobacco barns surrounded by blooming flowers, and explore two internationally acclaimed exhibitions. The public is warmly invited to bring their families to Liudui during the Spring Festival to experience the joyous atmosphere and share in the blessings of a traditional Hakka New Year, where everyone (sa-sa in Hakka) is blessed with good fortune.

This Spring Festival, the interactive Hakka handicraft workshop is among the most popular attractions at the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park. In addition to creating traditional blessing flower plates, visitors of all ages can craft unique botanical dye bags, festive lion head puppets, playful tassel drums, and charming goldfish lanterns to take home as special handmade keepsakes. During the holiday, the park also offers many exclusive experiences. Visitors can purchase the “Double Blessing Lucky Bags,” filled with surprises, including a chance to win a pure gold ingot. Other highlights include the “Poke a Red Envelope” charity event, where participants can contribute to a good cause while receiving exciting prizes. From the first to the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, guests can enjoy freshly steamed Hakka rice cakes made on-site. The free "Welcoming the Year of Snake" stamping activity will also be available daily from the first to the fifth day of the New Year. New this year, the park introduces the "Liudui Bogong Monopoly Stamp Rally," where visitors completing designated tasks during the festival can collect stamps and enter a lucky draw. The winner of the Bogong-blessed lucky medal will be drawn publicly on the afternoon of February 2nd, the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. We warmly welcome everyone to join us at the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park to celebrate a prosperous New Year!

The Hakka Culture Development Center adds that during the Spring Festival, the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park will feature breathtaking floral displays, including blooming cosmos and zinnias in the garden landscape area. These are complemented by traditional tobacco barns and oversized displays of Liudui's agricultural produce, creating a picturesque setting perfect for family strolls. Alongside the special Spring Festival market, families can join in the festivities, receiving blessings and starting the new year on an auspicious note.

The 2025 Liudui Spring Festival activities will take place from the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, offering excitement every day! Friends from across Taiwan are invited to visit the Liudui Hakka Cultural Park in Pingtung during the holiday to experience the most authentic Hakka Spring Festival.
