The finals of the 2024 National Hakka Stir-Fry Culinary Competition took place today (13th) at the Flower Sea Plaza in Taipei Expo Park, where teams showcased their remarkable culinary skills. Competitors impressed the judges with their mastery of ingredient selection, sauce preparation, heat control, and seasoning techniques. In the end, Heng Wei Restaurant and Han Hsien International Hotel took home the top prizes in the "Traditional Hakka Stir-Fry" and "Creative Hakka Stir-Fry" categories, respectively. Minister of the Hakka Affairs Council, Ku Hsiu-Fei, attended the event and presented the awards, noting that the Council will continue promoting "HA-FOOD" to introduce Hakka cuisine to a broader audience.
Following the finals, the Hakka Affairs Council will compile information on past participating establishments to create a national Hakka stir-fry culinary map. This map will not only highlight the competition’s achievements over the past four years but also serve as a comprehensive guide to top-quality Hakka restaurants across Taiwan. In addition, a series of nationwide marketing events will coincide with the release of the culinary map. Stay tuned!
