There are two main exhibition halls at this event. The World Pavilion introduces the emigration of the Hakka people around the world with a focus on "leaving home," "merging" and "uniqueness." By showcasing the connection between Taiwan and the world, combined with technology applications and immersive experiences, Hakka multiculturalism and localities in 20 countries or regions are presented through the interplay of light and shade, interaction and audio technology. The Taiwan Pavilion takes adaptation, enrichment and sharing Taiwan as its themes, interpreting the interweaving of the Hakka community and local multiculturalism from the perspective of Hakka in Taiwan, while also demonstrating the development of Taiwan’s Hakka in the fields of history, policy, education, industry, art and culture. In addition, we also display items from 14 counties and cities, including Taipei City and New Taipei City, Provincial Highway No. 3, Liudui, and Provincial Highway No. 9, to highlight the diversity of Hakka culture across the country.
The 2023 Hakka Expo is 66 days in duration from August 11 to October 15. In addition to the two main exhibition halls, there are eight sub exhibition areas (Conch Plaza, 1895 Yiwei War Memorial Park, Taiwan Hakka Tea Culture Museum, Taoyuan North District Hakka Club, Hengshan Calligraphy Art Museum, Children's Art Museum, International Aboriginal Culture and Creative Industries Park, Lunping Cultural Landscape Park) and 17 satellite exhibition areas. Visitors are invited to experience the diversity and rich culture of the Hakka. More information can be found on the 2023 Hakka Expo website and Facebook.
