Linluo was formerly known as “Linle.” Rumor has it that the name was given after the ancestors saw a mythical creature, Qilin, playing here. Interestingly, the villages here are also named after body parts of Qilin as Linding (Qilin head), Linti (Qilin trot), and Linzhi (Qilin toe). There are many historic buildings and temples in Linluo Township. The Baroque-style Jingzhao Hall was the temporary headquarters of the Japanese army and air force during the Japanese Rule period. The Temple of Zheng Chenggong, Taiwan’s national hero, is the center of the villagers' belief.
- The only religious ceremony that bridges the Minnan and Hakka ethnic groups, “Wife of the Great Lord of the Three Mountains from Jiuru returning to her maiden home” is an important Spring Festival event in Linluo.
- The trails in Linluo Wetland Park are well planned. There are also four ecological pools and guided ecological tours. Come here for a walk to get close to nature.
