Home to Taoyuan International Airport, Dayuan District serves as the primary gateway to Taiwan and plays a crucial role in the development of the Taoyuan Aerotropolis project, aimed at transforming Taoyuan City into a major economic and trade hub in the Asia-Pacific region. Despite its international competitive edge, Dayuan District retains its traditional charm with historic pastry shops, century-old Hakka houses with red-tiled roofs, and ancient banyan trees. Situated along the coastline at the mouth of Taoyuan’s largest river, the Nankan River, Dayuan District's Hakka residents excel in both farming and fishing. This area not only boasts agricultural communities but also features numerous tourist fishing ports, blending the scenic mountain and sea landscapes of Hakka villages, making it a highly recommended destination.
