Good
Shoufeng Township was called Shouyong Farm during the period of Japanese rule and has been populated by Amis people since ancient times. With the opening up of land by Han Chinese settlers and the founding of immigrant villages under Japan, a multi-ethnic culture gradually merged.
Shoufeng Township is full of traces of many immigrant villages and shrines. Due to its special geographical condition, it has a different water culture from other towns. While playing in the water in the hot summer, one can see fish in the canals beside the fields. The clean, clear water and pollution-free environment are ideal to cultivate high-quality golden clams, making Shoufeng the hometown of the famous golden clam.
In addition to visiting classic Hualien tourist attractions such as Yunshanshui Natural Ecological Village, Lichuan Aqua farm, Niushan Huting etc, visitors will not want to miss Liyu Lake. Every summer, when night falls, fluorescent lights begin to flash on the water and fireflies add to the breathtaking scenery.
