Fenglin Township was certified by Cittaslow International as a slow town in 2014. The Hakka spirit of friendly coexistence of people and the land is rooted here. Wanli River and Maan River that both originate from the Central Mountain Range bring pure irrigation water to Fenglin. The sales of rice, grains, peanuts, and watermelons here are impressive. The highest density of tobacco barns in Taiwan is also in Fenglin. Walk slowly and see closely here, you can learn about the history of tobacco and Hakka culture.

  • Paragliding: Let professional instructors take you to the sky, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Central Mountain Range and East Rift Valley from high above.
  • The innovative festival of “Getting lost among the tobacco barns – Night Parade of the Ghosts” is fun for the whole family. Don't forget to taste the sweet watermelon during its harvest season and the retro hand-fried peanuts.
  • Tobacco barns are one of the most important features of Fenglin. It is also the tobacco barn settlement of the highest density in Taiwan, witnessing the historical development of Hakka regions.

Pork knuckle
Stir-fry pork knuckles with soy sauce and spirit until brown, then add green onion, ginger, and garlic, and stew it over high heat until the skin is bouncy and the meat is aromatic. Peanut
